The CAS Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the President-Elect and Board candidates for the 2021 CAS elections. Voting members (Associates who have been members at least five years and Fellows) will cast ballots in August to elect four directors from among the eight candidates.

The five-year moving average of the Actuaries Climate Index (actuariesclimateindex.org) fell for the first time since 2017, according to the latest data release that includes fall 2020.

The CAS expects to release results for the Spring 2021 exams 5-9 at the end of June or in early July. We understand that candidates are eager to know their results and finalize their plans for the Fall 2021 sitting.

A Town Hall meeting was held virtually in conjunction with the 2021 CAS Spring Meeting on Monday, May 24th.

As many CAS members know, actuaries are often involved in acts of service for their communities, be it actuarially related or not! To highlight our members’ community service outside of the workplace, the CAS is launching our very own Actuaries in Community Month!

In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, CAS President Jessica Leong has shared this brief message with the CAS Community.

The CAS is now accepting applications for the CAS Student Central Summer Program being offered in Mandarin Chinese. The online program will run from Monday, July 12 – Friday, August 20.
