Whether you're sharing a proven practice, exploring emerging risks, demonstrating new analytical approaches, or offering lessons learned from experience, your perspective can make an impact. Presenting at a CAS meeting is an opportunity to contribute to the profession, engage with peers, and help shape the conversations driving property and casualty actuarial practice forward.
The CAS is currently accepting presentation proposals for two premier 2027 events. Explore each opportunity below and submit the proposal that best matches your expertise.

2027 CAS Ratemaking, Product, and Modeling Seminar
March 14-17, 2027

Indianapolis, IN
Deadline: August 20, 2026
- Experienced property and casualty actuaries involved in ratemaking, product development, pricing, modeling, and analytics who apply technical expertise to solve complex business challenges and support data-driven decision-making.
- Advanced practitioners and specialists who develop innovative approaches, evaluate emerging methods, and collaborate across actuarial, underwriting, product, regulatory, and analytics functions.
Your session submission should be able to address one of the following tracks for the event:
- Ratemaking
- Product
- Modeling
- Leadership
- Professionalism
- Regulation
- Roundtables
- Special Topics (e.g. Emerging Issues, Innovation)
- Workshops (March 15 only)
- iCAS Forum (March 15 only)
- Speakers are expected to travel in-person to the meeting to present.
- Concurrent sessions will take place March 16-17 and are 60 minutes long inclusive of Q&A
- Proposals must have between 2-3 speakers per concurrent session (not including moderators)*
- Workshops will take place on March 15 only and must be between 8 hours and 4 hours
- Workshop proposals must have at least 2 speakers for half-day and at least 3 speakers for full-day (not including moderators)*
The 2027 proposal reviewers will also pay particular attention to the following criteria:
- Format
- Originality
- Relevance
- Audience Engagement
- New or Never Before Presented

Submit Spring Meeting Proposal
The Spring Meeting Working Group (SMWG) issues the Call for Presentations for the 2027 Spring Meeting.
- Experienced property and casualty actuaries who apply integrated expertise to solve complex problems and influence decision-making.
- Advanced specialists who design innovative solutions and lead cross-functional teams across organizations.
Your session submission should be able to address one of the following themes for the event:
- Data, Analytics, and Technical Tools
- Advanced Technical Skills (Excel, SQL, R, Python, XGBoost, TensorFlow)
- Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning
- Data Engineering/Management
- AI, Emerging Technology, and Innovation
- Generative AI
- Emerging Technology (FinTech, Drones, Autonomous Vehicles)
- Special Topics
- Risk, Insurance, and Actuarial Practice
- Climate Risk
- Lines of Business
- Reserving
- Professional Judgment, Ethics, and Leadership
- Fairness in Algorithms/Bias
- Leadership and Communication
- Concurrent Sessions are 60 minutes, inclusive of Q&A
- Must have 2-3 speakers per concurrent session (not including moderators)*
- Speakers must travel in-person to present
- Be prepared to repeat the session at the event
