The Actuary — A Career Change: Elizabeth M. Mauro Reimbursement Program

Background

The Actuary — A Career Change commemorates the life and legacy of Elizabeth “Liz” M. Mauro, FCAS. Liz shifted her career to the actuarial profession after working for several years as a social worker and went on to become a dedicated Fellow of the CAS while working at Zurich North America. Following her passing, her family and friends endowed an exam reimbursement program to ensure that others making similar career changes would have access to the support they need to succeed at attaining employment in an actuarial role.

The objective of the reimbursement program is to provide financial and professional support to career changers transitioning into the actuarial profession.
