The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) was proud to be a Diamond Sponsors of the 2024 ANÉA - ASNA Convention, the premier gathering for actuarial students in Canada.

Quebec Bill 96 includes language requirements for conducting business within Quebec, which requires all educational transactions to be completed in French. Currently, CAS exams and supporting materials are offered only in English, including within Canada.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and Society of Actuaries (SOA) are working together to explore modifications to their jointly-sponsored Diversity Exam Reimbursement Program. A revised program is expected to be announced in 2024 as soon as the review can be completed; in the interim, the current program has been sunset. The Needs-Based Exam Reimbursement Program will remain available to actuarial candidates who demonstrate financial need.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) has received five awards across four association award programs for exemplary work completed in 2022. The four award programs include the EXCEL Awards, TRENDY Awards, ASAE Power of Associations Awards and Communicator Awards.

As a Sustaining Partner and Platinum Conference Sponsor, the CAS proudly presented an educational session and successfully engaged with students, faculty, and industry professionals throughout the course of the two-day conference.

The CAS Board’s Governance Task Force (GTF) has received recommendations from an independent consultant for enhancing our governance system to align with governance best practices for professional membership organizations. The recommendations focus on the overall governance structure, Board policies and procedures, and roles and responsibilities.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2023 CAS Trust Scholarship! This honor was created to further students’ interest in the property and casualty actuarial profession and encourage the pursuit of the CAS designations.
