In 2014, the Casualty Actuarial Society celebrated 100 years of history and a rich legacy of credentialing property and casualty actuaries. The celebration culminated at the CAS Annual Meeting and Centennial Celebration in New York.

The CAS Wall of Names listed every person who has ever earned CAS credentials – at the time over 7,300 names! The banner, which was over 40 feet wide, was on display in the Exhibit Hall at the CAS Centennial and Annual Meeting.

A Centennial Celebration

On November 7, 1914 the Casualty Actuarial and Statistical Society held its first meeting in New York City with 97 charter members as Fellows. One hundred years later, 2,000 members gathered again in the Big Apple to celebrate our first century and explore the challenges and opportunities that face us in the next.
