CAS Supports Career Changers Through the Elizabeth M. Mauro Reimbursement Program

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is accepting applications for The Actuary - A Career Change: Elizabeth M. Mauro Reimbursement Program, which supports individuals transitioning into the actuarial profession.

Named in honor of Elizabeth "Liz" M. Mauro, FCAS, who entered the profession after an earlier career as a social worker, the program provides reimbursement for the cost of an actuarial exam and study materials, along with six months of mentorship from a CAS member.

Eligible applicants must be age 25 or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, have passed at least one actuarial exam within the past 24 months, and not be eligible for exam or study material reimbursement through another source.

The application deadline is July 31, 2026. Two application cycles are offered each year.
