Press Releases
Over 500 insurance industry professionals recently earned their Associateship (ACAS) or Fellowship (FCAS) credentials from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) by passing examinations given during the CAS’s Spring 2025 exam sitting.
The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is pleased to announce that Kathleen C. Odomirok, FCAS, has been named president-elect of the organization for 2025-2026.
In alignment with our 2025 Strategic Plan—focusing on Building Skills for the Future and Advancing Operational Excellence—the CAS is excited to launch the CAS Employer Network, a new initiative designed to strengthen collaboration between CAS and employers of actuaries.
All October/November 2024 CAS exam results have been released, bringing the sitting to a close.
As we prepare for the launch of the new CAS Portal, our new and improved e-commerce platform and user database, we want to provide important updates to ensure a smooth transition:
The Casualty Actuarial Society is pleased to announce that the CAS website is now accessible in French. This new feature allows users to switch seamlessly between English and French using the dropdown menu located in the upper-right corner of the site.
The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is pleased to announce that Barry Franklin, FCAS, has been named president-elect of the organization for 2024-2025. Franklin will begin his term at the close of the 2024 CAS Annual Meeting in November and will go on to serve as CAS president for 2025-2026.
I wanted to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who took time out of their schedules to complete the recent Actuarial Professional Analysis (APA) survey.
Several CAS members were recognized by the American Academy of Actuaries as part of their tributes to outstanding Academy volunteers and emerging actuarial leaders at the opening session of the Academy’s 2024 “Envision Tomorrow” annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 15.
We understand the frustration and disappointment many of you experienced during the May 1 exam administration, and we want to assure you that we have taken significant steps to mitigate risks for the October/November exam sitting.
