As chair of the CAS Admissions Governance Committee (AGC), I’d like to provide an update on recent developments in our Admissions program and reaffirm our commitment to an elevated candidate experience—a core pillar of the 2025 CAS Strategic Plan.
Registration is now open for the October 2025 CAS exam administration. The registration deadline is September 23, at 11:59 PM ET.  Additional information can be found on the Exam Registration webpage.
CAS thanks all candidates, and the many employers, members and volunteers who support them, for their participation in the April 2025 exam sitting. Each exam administration provides an opportunity to reflect on what went well and identify areas for improvement, and the April sitting offered valuable insights on both fronts.
The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is proud to announce that its updated syllabus and credential structure have received official approval from both the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the International Actuarial Association (IAA).

In response to candidate feedback, the CAS is pleased to introduce a new August MAS Exam administration. This additional offering reflects our ongoing commitment to enhancing the exam process and marks the final initiative implemented as part of the Admissions Transformation Plan.
The CAS is pleased to announce the publication of the Exam 5, 6-Canada, 6-United States, 6-International, 7, and 8 Content Outlines for the October 2025 exam administration.
Practice exams for the MAS examinations are available for $99. The practice exams consist of 45 multiple choice questions developed by The Infinite Actuary, ACTEX, and Coaching Actuaries.
The CAS Board of Directors recently approved a waiver recommendation for CAS Institute (iCAS) CSPA credential holders who are pursuing the ACAS designation.
