The CAS regrets to announce the recent passing of CAS Past President David Flynn.

Barry Franklin, FCAS, began his term as the president of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) today in conjunction with the 2025 CAS Annual Meeting. He will serve as CAS president for 2025-2026.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2026-2027 CAS Trust Scholarship.

The newest addition to the Casualty Actuarial Society’s (CAS’s) monograph series is “Practical Mixed Models for Actuaries,” written by Ernesto Schirmacher, professor at Bentley University. CAS monographs are peer-reviewed, authoritative works that provide in-depth analysis on important topics within property and casualty actuarial practice.

The Spring Meeting Working Group (SMWG) issues the Call for Presentations for the 2026 Spring Meeting. Speakers are expected to travel in-person to the meeting to present.

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is pleased to announce the successful completion of the sixth annual CAS Student Central Summer Program, which this year hosted students from over 32 countries.

Balloting for the 2025 CAS election has closed and all candidates have been contacted regarding the results.
