The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) was thrilled to take part in Gamma Iota Sigma’s (GIS) 53rd Annual Conference, held last month in Indianapolis. This event gathered more than 600 top risk management students and faculty advisers, along with a wide array of insurance professionals.
I am pleased to release the exposure draft of the CAS 2025 Strategic Plan. This marks a significant milestone in shaping our future direction as an organization, and we are excited to share it with you.
Over 600 insurance industry professionals recently earned their Associateship (ACAS) or Fellowship (FCAS) credentials from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) by passing examinations given during the CAS’s Spring 2024 exam sitting.
The CAS is excited to announce the addition of seven colleges and universities being honored through the CAS University Recognition Program for their commitment to preparing students for the property and casualty actuarial field, bringing the total of schools recognized by the CAS to over 50.

I am pleased to share the "Report of the Membership Linkage Task Force (MLTF)," a set of recommendations developed to enhance the communication, collaboration, and engagement between the CAS Board of Directors and our membership.
The CAS Fall Volunteer Recruitment Campaign is now open, which means through September 27th nearly all CAS committees, working groups, and task forces are recruiting new volunteers!
