The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is pleased to announce that Barry Franklin, FCAS, has been named president-elect of the organization for 2024-2025. Franklin will begin his term at the close of the 2024 CAS Annual Meeting in November and will go on to serve as CAS president for 2025-2026.
We understand the frustration and disappointment many of you experienced during the May 1 exam administration, and we want to assure you that we have taken significant steps to mitigate risks for the October/November exam sitting.

Over 600 insurance industry professionals recently earned their Associateship (ACAS) or Fellowship (FCAS) credentials from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) by passing examinations given during the CAS’s Spring 2024 exam sitting.
The CAS is excited to announce the addition of seven colleges and universities being honored through the CAS University Recognition Program for their commitment to preparing students for the property and casualty actuarial field, bringing the total of schools recognized by the CAS to over 50.
