Calling all Career Changers! Volunteers Needed to Relaunch the Elizabeth M. Mauro Reimbursement Program

The CAS is seeking volunteers who identify as career changers to support the relaunch of the Actuary – A Career Change: Elizabeth M. Mauro Reimbursement Program. This program, formerly administered by the Actuarial Foundation and being relaunched by the CAS in 2025, provides aspiring career changers with financial support for actuarial exams. Awardees are also assigned a mentor to provide advice and guidance on their path to finding employment in an actuarial role.
We are looking for volunteers to contribute in one of two meaningful ways:
- Join the Task Force
- Help shape the future of the program by finalizing eligibility criteria and refining program benefits (~2 hours of meetings in August and September)
- Reviewing applications and selecting awardees (~2–3 hours of meetings twice a year – November/December & May/June)
- Become a Mentor
- Support one or two awardees by meeting with them 1–2 times per month over a 4-month period.
Ready to volunteer? Please complete the following steps by August 15:
Log in to your CAS account at portal.casact.org, navigate to Volunteering → Available Volunteer Opportunities, and find:
