Why does the CAS still "sponsor and partner with" so-called actuarial organizations that focus solely on their race-based or sexual preference-based groups, the very antithesis of your stated commitment "to promote involvement and advancement ... for people of all backgrounds and identities" ?

As outlined in the Career Encouragement and Community Building Strategy, the CAS works with external organizations to expand our reach to potential future members. We sponsor and partner with other actuarial organizations to inform their audiences about the CAS pathway and help our members and candidates access additional career support. External organizations expand our access to a wider future talent pool, helping us build early awareness of the actuarial career. Actuarial organizations promote a sense of belonging for actuaries from a variety of backgrounds and provide networking, education and leadership development opportunities for members.
