As outlined in the Career Encouragement and Community Building Strategy, the CAS works with external organizations to expand our reach to potential future members. We sponsor and partner with other actuarial organizations to inform their audiences about the CAS pathway and help our members and candidates access additional career support. External organizations expand our access to a wider future talent pool, helping us build early awareness of the actuarial career. Actuarial organizations promote a sense of belonging for actuaries from a variety of backgrounds and provide networking, education and leadership development opportunities for members.

The CAS Member Directory now gives members greater control over what information they wish to share in their listing. Each member can choose from four display options: Full Profile Display (includes contact details), Limited Profile Display (excludes contact details and location), Limited Profile + Email, or Do Not Display My Profile (hidden from the directory entirely).
These changes reflect our commitment to member privacy and data protection, while continuing to offer the directory as a networking tool.
We recognize that connection and outreach are central to CAS’s culture. Members who wish to share their contact information can update their preferences by logging into the CAS Member Portal, selecting View/Update Your Profile, and scrolling to the Directory Display Preferences section.
These details were outlined in a CAS News announcement in April, and we’ll be sharing this information periodically to ensure all members are aware.
