Candidate Advocate Working Group Application

Volunteer with the CAWG as a candidate Representative!

The CAS Candidate Advocate Working Group (CAWG) is accepting applications for candidate representatives to the working group. The selected candidates will be active participants on the Future Fellows  editorial board and they will represent views of those actively taking CAS exams. The candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a candidate for the Casualty Actuarial Society
  • Be active in the examination process (must have sat for a CAS examination within the last four sittings)
    • If you have not sat for an exam within the timeframe listed above, please explain.
  • Be willing to serve a two-year term
  • Participate in the Candidate Advocate Working Group meetings (bi-monthly videoconferences, an annual in-person or virtual meeting and ad-hoc meetings as needed)

To apply, please provide the following:

  • Complete online application
  • One letter of reference from a member of the CAS - The Candidate Advocate Working Group may discuss confidential information at times. The letter from a CAS member should verify the candidate’s work in the property-casualty actuarial profession and the candidate’s professionalism.
  • One copy of your resume

Application materials must be received by September 30, 2024. Representatives will be selected and notified in October, and their term will begin in November 2024.
