Approved Courses and Educational Experiences
Only those courses and educational experiences listed in the SOA’s VEE Directory of Approved Courses or Alternate Options are eligible for VEE credit. To qualify for credit, a course must be completed with a grade of B– or better, or its accepted equivalent as specified in the VEE Directory. Applications for partial credit are not allowed (for example, a candidate cannot submit a standalone approved accounting course; it must be paired with an approved finance course).
Courses or options from different educational providers can be combined to fulfill a VEE topic requirement. An approved accounting course from one institution can be paired with an approved finance course from a different institution or provider.
If a course is not listed in the VEE Directory, individuals should contact the SOA at vee@soa.org for guidance on how to proceed with obtaining course approval.
