Take the Next Step: CAS Volunteer Opportunities Now Recruiting
As we continue celebrating National Volunteer Week, we invite you to take the next step in your volunteer journey with CAS.
We’re excited to share a new set of volunteer opportunities now open for recruitment. Whether you’re looking to deepen your involvement or try something new, there are many ways to contribute your expertise and make an impact.
Featured Opportunities
- CAS Student Central Summer Program Mentors – The CAS is seeking volunteer mentors for the 2026 CAS Student Central Summer Program, an eight-week online experience (June 8–July 31) designed to help university students build technical and professional skills. Mentors will be paired, can share responsibilities, and commit about one hour per week, with cohort meetings held on Thursdays or Fridays.
- Syllabus and Examination Working Group – The Syllabus and Examination Working Group is seeking subject matter experts from various actuarial fields whose responsibilities include developing exam materials, scoring CAS examinations, and determining the standards of achievement for successful candidates.
Training is provided for all roles. Volunteers must be FCAS, or ACAS members who do not plan to sit for an exam within the next three years. - Member Survey Panel – The Member Survey Panel is a group of members intended to be representative of the broader membership who volunteer to participate in surveys and research conducted by CAS leadership and committees. Panel members can expect to receive 6–10 surveys annually and are expected to complete at least 75% of the surveys they receive to remain active on the panel.
Additional opportunities are available through the CAS Volunteer Portal.
