NAIC AOWG Issues Exposure Draft for Comment

The Actuarial Opinion Working Group (AOWG) of the NAIC is exposing two documents regarding P&C statements of Actuarial Opinion: the Property & Casualty Actuarial Opinion Instructions and the corresponding Regulatory Guidance on Property and Casualty Statutory Statements of Actuarial Opinion, Actuarial Opinion Summaries, and Actuarial.

Of note in the Actuarial Opinion instructions is the proposed removal of Item 10 of Exhibit B regarding reserves for the company portion of voluntary and involuntary underwriting pools’ and associations’ unpaid losses and loss adjustment expenses.
