Fall 2020 Exam Site Closure Procedures

With the recent closures of certain Pearson VUE Professional Centers due to local government guidelines, the CAS has adopted the following Exam Site Closure Procedures:

  • If a Pearson testing center is closed due to COVID-19-related restrictions, candidates will be contacted directly by Pearson to make them aware of the closure and the cancellation of their exam appointment.Upon notification, candidates should first contact Pearson VUE Customer Service to reschedule their appointment by calling 833-676-0035.A full listing of contact numbers can be found at https://home.pearsonvue.com/cas/contact.
  • If candidates are unable to reschedule by Pearson VUE, CAS will work with affected candidates to reschedule their exam(s) for the first available date within their exam window of November 19 to December 9, 2020.Candidates unable to be rescheduled by Pearson VUE Customer Service should contact the Administrative and Customer Support by emailing ACS@casact.org.
  • If the first available testing date is outside of the current exam window, the exam window will be extended for affected candidates up until December 31, 2020. The 2020 fall exam sitting will conclude on that day.
  • If COVID-19-related closures prevent sites from opening prior to December 31, 2020, and an alternative site cannot be found or is not acceptable to the candidate, the candidate’s registration can be refunded.
  • If a candidate affected by these circumstances chooses not to reschedule their exam at this time, they may opt to receive a full refund.
