CAS Welcomes New 2021 Classes of Associates and Fellows

Nearly 370 insurance industry professionals recently earned their Associateship (ACAS) or Fellowship (FCAS) credentials from the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) by passing examinations given during the CAS’s May 2021 exam sitting.

The new classes of credential holders include 154 new Associates and 215 new Fellows; all have successfully completed the examinations, online courses, VEE requirements, and the Course on Professionalism required to earn CAS designations. The full list of names can be found online; recipients will be honored at a future CAS meeting.

For over 100 years, the CAS has been setting the standard of expertise, credibility, and professional integrity for the P&C actuarial profession, and the new credential holders join a vibrant community of over 9,000 CAS members sought after for their insights and ability to apply analytics to solve insurance and risk management problems.

“We’re excited to expand our membership by welcoming these new Associates and Fellows, who will bring fresh perspectives and insight to our profession,” said CAS President Jessica Leong. “We continue to see strong growth at the CAS as employers and the market continue to demand the skills of highly trained actuaries. CAS credentials are an important milestone in any P&C actuary’s career, and the ACAS and FCAS remain unmatched for their rigor, integrity, and relevance.”
