CAS Past President David Flynn Passes Away

The CAS regrets to announce the recent passing of CAS Past President David Flynn.

David Paul Flynn, FCAS, who served as president of the CAS in 1992 and as chair of the board in 1993, died on November 19. Flynn earned his FCAS in 1970. An obituary was published on the Dignity Memorial website.

A CAS-specific obituary outlining Flynn’s many contributions to the CAS and casualty actuarial profession will be published in Actuarial Review in early 2026.
