CAS Fellows Profiled in Diversity in Action Magazine

Diversity in Action Magazine recently featured Amber Rohde, FCAS, and CAS DE&I Staff Actuary Mallika Bender, FCAS, in their March-April issue. The issue covers women in finance; readers can find Rohde and Bender on page 44 and 45, where women who find success in accounting and actuarial fields are profiled.

Amber Rohde heads the actuarial team for the Enterprise Catastrophe Risk Management group at Travelers. Outside of work, Rohde stays heavily involved in providing innovation and networking opportunities within the industry. Last year, Rohde co-founded the Network of Actuarial Women and Allies (NAWA).

Mallika Bender currently works as the diversity, equity and inclusion staff actuary at the CAS. Bender came to the CAS with 13 years of industry experience and a passion for DE&I initiatives. Prior to becoming staff actuary, Bender joined the CAS Diversity Committee in 2015 and helped facilitate diversity training sessions in her previous professional roles. Most recently, Bender has helped manage the CAS Research Paper Series on Race and Insurance Pricing.
