CAS Announces Second Global Teaching Materials Innovation Challenge

Are you ready to shape the future of actuarial education?

The Casualty Actuarial Society invites academics, industry professionals, and innovators from around the world to participate in the second Global Teaching Materials Innovation Challenge. This exciting competition seeks innovative teaching materials that bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world practice in general insurance actuarial science.

Participants are encouraged to develop dynamic and engaging educational resources, including case studies, simulations, gamified learning experiences, AI-augmented tools, unit plans, and other innovative teaching approaches. Submissions should support actuarial education and help prepare students for the evolving demands of the profession.

In addition to contributing to a global library of actuarial teaching resources, winners will receive cash prizes, recognition through CAS channels, and the opportunity to present their work at a future CAS event.

Competition terms and submission requirements are outlined in the Global Teaching Materials Innovation Challenge brochure

Participants may submit their online application by September 18, 2026.
