The 2021 joint SOA-CIA-CAS Enterprise Risk Management Symposium provides thought leadership, best practices and networking opportunities to professionals working in the many aspects of enterprise risk management. The symposium supports the development of professional education within the actuarial discipline. In 2021 this will be a one-day event delivered all virtually.

Spring Meeting

May 23-26, 2021

The CAS Spring Meeting gives property-casualty insurance actuaries and consultants the opportunity to earn continuing education credits in a variety of sessions covering relevant and timely topics necessary for continuing professional growth and maintaining actuarial credentials. The three-day event will have opportunities for education, networking, and meeting with exhibitors.

Virtual CAS Seminar on Reinsurance

June 8-9, 2021

The 2021 Seminar on Reinsurance will be held as a completely virtual event, with opportunities for education, networking, and meeting with exhibitors. The Reinsurance Seminar Joint Program Committee is putting on this two-day event with one general session and 30 concurrent sessions. You can register for one-day only or both days at a discount.

In Focus Virtual Seminar

The In Focus Seminar Committee is putting on this three-day event that will focus on one main emerging topic each day. This will allow attendees to register for one day, two, or all three days at a discount.

Casualty Loss Reserve Seminar (CLRS) & Workshops

September 13-15, 2021

The CLRS Planning Committee is developing a program with a variety of educational opportunities that span across three days. The CLRS provides a forum for presenting and discussing significant issues in loss reserving while meeting the continuing education needs of actuaries and other professionals whose responsibilities include loss reserving. Attendees will leave this year’s seminar better able to understand, evaluate and estimate loss reserves.

Crash Course Seminar

October 2021

The CAS, along with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI), invite you to be a part of an educational seminar focused on the rapidly evolving world of vehicle technology and its impact on the insurance industry. This two-day event will take place in Ruckersville, VA at the IIHS Vehicle Research Center.

In addition to benefiting from the extensive work and knowledge that IIHS, HLDI and CAS members working in this field have on the topics of advancements in vehicle technology and driverless cars, the event will also include a live crash test as well as an opportunity for attendees to experience the latest in vehicle safety technology firsthand on IIHS/HLDI’s test track.

Annual Meeting

November 7-10, 2021

The 2021 Annual Meeting is the CAS’s signature event of the year. The Annual and Spring Meeting Planning Committee is putting on this three-day event complete with opportunities for education, networking, and meeting with exhibitors.
