CAS and SOA Announce 2027 Individual Grants Competition

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and the Society of Actuaries (SOA) Research Institute’s Committee on Knowledge Extension Research (CKER) announce the 2027 Individual Grant Competition to support the advancement of knowledge in actuarial science.

Proposed research projects may be theoretical or empirical and should have the potential to significantly advance knowledge in actuarial science.

Interested parties must submit a Letter of Intent of two (2) pages by October 21, 2026. Please see the Individual Grant announcement 2027  for additional details and deadlines.

Researchers selected to submit a full proposal will receive application materials on November 24, 2026. Completed applications will be due by January 14, 2027. Grant awards will be announced by March 18, 2027.
