Candidate Representative application deadline extended to Thursday, October 20, 2022.

The CAS Candidate Advocate Working Group (CAWG) is looking for candidates taking CAS exams to join the working group. This is a unique opportunity for candidates to get involved and volunteer with the CAS.  The selected representatives will get the opportunity to:

  • Provide direct feedback to the CAS on issues that impact candidates, such as the CAS Admissions Transformation Plan (ATP)
  • Communicate with candidates about CAS initiatives
  • Write articles for the Future Fellows newsletter and Future Fellows Hot Topics blog
  • Work with other candidates and CAS members, with the potential to interview CAS members from other working groups and task forces as needed

The CAWG is comprised of Associates and Fellows of the CAS. A select number of candidates are accepted to join each year for a two-year term. Take this opportunity to represent CAS candidates on the Candidate Advocate Working Group!

We are seeking a diverse slate of representatives to understand the unique range of candidate perspectives. Apply now and let us know more about why you want to join the CAWG—we can’t wait to hear from you!

“As a CAS Candidate Representative, I’ve had the opportunity to provide feedback and help shape the candidate experience with the CAS! I highly recommend applying to the CAWG to share your perspectives and experience with the working group.”

Jack Richards, CAWG Candidate Representative 2021-2023.

Applications must be submitted by October 20, 2022 to be considered. The application and requirements are now available.
