CAS Members to Join RIMS 2018 Line-Up of Expert Risk Management and Insurance Speakers
Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) members John Gleba, FCAS, MAAA, Bill Mech, FCAS, Loren Nickel, FCAS, and Al Rhodes, ACAS, MAAA, are among those scheduled to present at the RIMS 2018 Annual Conference & Exhibition, April 15-18 in San Antonio, Texas. The event draws an audience of approximately 10,000 risk and insurance professionals from around the world.
Rhodes, president and senior actuary at SIGMA Actuarial Consulting Group, will join a panel of restaurant industry thought leaders to discuss hot topics and leading issues specific to that industry on Monday, April 16 from 1:15 – 2:45pm.
Nickel, director of business risk and insurance at Google, will present on the benefits of alternative risk transfer (ART) on Tuesday, April 17 from 9:30 – 10:30am; he will also lead a session on the impact of technology, innovation and disruption on the risk profession that morning from 11:00am-12:00pm.
Mech, vice president of enterprise risk control at Connexus Credit Union, will also present on Tuesday, exploring how the insurance industry’s ORSA framework can be used by other industries as a way to communicate about ERM within any organization from 11:00am-12:00pm.
Gleba, secretary/treasurer at Madison Consulting Group, gives risk managers insight into maximizing their actuarial resources in “Actuarial Tools and Guidance for the Risk Professional,” on Wednesday, April 18 from 1:30 –2:30pm.
