Frank H. Chang, FCAS, began his term as the president of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) today in conjunction with the 2023 CAS Annual Meeting. He will serve as CAS President for 2023-2024.
Chang is currently vice president, applied science, at Uber Technologies. Previous roles include lead actuary at Google and assistant actuary at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. Chang received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from UC San Diego in 2004.

The CAS Admissions team is looking for volunteers to help with the new Property and Casualty Predictive Analytics (PCPA) requirement for ACAS. This offering will feature both an examination and a hands-on project component, designed to help candidates and professionals in the actuarial field gain a deeper understanding of key concepts and improve their predictive capabilities.

Objective:
The objective of the scholarship is to further students' interest in the property/casualty actuarial profession and to encourage the pursuit of the Casualty Actuarial Society designations.
The CAS Board of Directors adopted a set of commitments to enhance our governance system to align with best practices for professional membership organizations during a recent Board meeting.
