Celebrating New Partnerships: Eight More Asian Universities Join the CAS University Recognition Program

We are thrilled to announce another significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to foster collaboration and enhance support for universities seeking to provide enhanced General Insurance education. Another eight esteemed Asian universities have recently been added to the CAS University Recognition Program. We commend the faculty and staff at these universities for their commitment to preparing students with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue successful careers as General Insurance actuaries.

The CAS University Recognition Program offers three levels of recognition; Bronze, Silver, and Gold. All schools recognized are featured on a CAS website list that employers and prospective students can consider as a “go to” resource for identifying programs focused on property and casualty actuarial education.

This round, the following seven universities were awarded Silver Level partnerships. Universities on this level are recognized for their work to prepare students for careers as general insurance actuaries by covering material on the CAS credentialing pathway within their curriculum.

Silver Level

  • Central University of Finance and Economics, China
  • Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, Malaysia
  • Hunan University, China
  • Shandong University of Finance and Economics, China
  • Sunway University, Malaysia
  • Universiti Malaya, Malaysia
  • University of International Business and Economics, China

Additionally, the following university was recognized as the Bronze partner. Universities achieve this level of recognition by exposing their students to the general insurance actuarial career path through their participation in the CAS’s University Programs.

Bronze Level

  • The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong

We look forward to continuing partnership with these eight outstanding universities!

Applications are now open to all universities on a rolling basis.
