Actuarial Review Microvolunteering Opportunity – Article on Inflation History
Actuarial Review is seeking volunteer(s) to research and write a brief overview and comparison into how historical CAS inflation literature may have foreshadowed today’s state of inflation. In particular, we are asking volunteers to review “The Effect of Inflation on Losses and Premiums for Property-Liability Insurers” by Butsic, 1981, as well as other relevant CAS literature on the topic to illustrate ties to our current situation on inflation. Article should be between 1,000 and 2,100 words and the initial draft is due mid-summer (exact date TBD). If interested, please contact CAS Publications Director Elizabeth Smith at email@example.com and CAS Research Actuary Brian Fannin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
