About This Event
This webinar is 90 minutes.

Granular, scalable data collection across all farm sizes, especially smallholder farms, is redefining actuarial precision and insurance performance in agriculture. High-frequency, ground-level data enables more accurate risk modelling, refined underwriting, and improved claims predictability, all of which are critical for both insurers and reinsurers in managing climate and yield volatility.
Key Messages
Startups like Wingsure are enabling this transformation by deploying proximal and multimodal sensing technologies. This allows for real-time capture of hyper-local agronomic and environmental variables, feeding into dynamic risk models.
For actuaries, this means more robust and responsive pricing frameworks. For insurers and reinsurers, it supports better portfolio diversification, early warning systems, and timely, evidence-based claims management, ultimately reducing basis risk and enabling more innovative, scalable crop insurance solutions tailored to underserved markets.
This webinar is complimentary to non-North American audiences who are part of the CAS and the CIA. The webinar will be conducted over GotoWebinar. Please make sure to test your system.
