CAS Exam News: Post Exam Summary and Sample Exam Information

In support of the goals of the Admissions Transformation Plan to offer new study materials to candidates, the CAS has released the October/November 2023 Post Exam Summary and a new sample exam.

The new Post Exam Summaries were introduced in Spring 2023 and each summary consists of a general section that applies universally to all constructed response exams, followed by individual sections for each of the exams administered during the last sitting. This resource, developed by the Syllabus and Examination Working Group, is designed to provide insightful observations on candidates' exam performance, coupled with expert recommendations for improvement.

Additionally, the CAS has prepared a sample exam and accompanying video to help candidates familiarize themselves with the format and functionality of the exams. We strongly encourage all candidates to review these materials as part of their exam preparations. The sample exam and video also review new item types that the CAS will be utilizing on Exams MAS-I, MAS-II, 5, 7, and 9 during the upcoming and future administrations. Please check your Exam Content Outline to confirm which item types will be present on your exam.
