"My acceptance of this award marks three years since I originally applied to the CAS Trust Scholarship. At that time, I was concluding my first year in college, preparing to start my first internship, and beginning to study for my first actuarial exam. I knew my chances of being selected were slim, but, just like the rest of my life at the time, I understood that the application would be the first of many. As I continued my journey, I bore witness to the success and strength of past winners and drew on their example to shape myself into a person deserving of such a high accolade. Now, three years later, I am honored to be among those young men and women who I so aspired to be. Thank you to everyone who has helped me from my first day of class and an even greater thank you to the generosity of the CAS."
