In the past year Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has been at the forefront of conversations in the actuarial profession. As the topic has expanded, many of us have proclaimed that we are allies to minority groups. But, what does it really mean to be an ally? In this webinar, members of the Sexuality and Gender Alliance of Actuaries will help CAS members understand the importance of allyship and what you need to do to be a better ally in both your professional and personal life.

- Advocate, Ally, Activist. What are the differences?
- How to be a better ally in the workplace?
- What you can do to let members of a community know that you are an ally.
- How to change you own workplace mentality.

Matt Gentile, FCAS, (he/him) is a medical malpractice pricing actuary at MedPro Group and the co-founder of the Sexuality and Gender Alliance of Actuaries (SAGAA). Matt helped create SAGAA with the goal of facilitating connections between LGBTQ+ actuaries and allies to engage in community-wide dialogue about LGBTQ+ issues. Additionally, he is the leader of MedPro Pride, the LGBTQ+ affinity group at MedPro Group.
Erin Campbell Wagner, FCAS (she/her) is a pricing actuary for MedPro Group. Erin has spent the last six years specializing in medical malpractice insurance, both pricing and reserving for a vast array of medical professional liability products. She has been involved in various LGBTQ diversity initiatives over the years, and currently serves as a board member of SAGAA.
David Daly (he/him/his) is an Associate in the Society of Actuaries. He has five years of experience in the Individual Life and Annuity industry with a focus on FIAs with a wide range of experiences in product development, modeling, reserving, and financial reporting. David currently serves a member of the Education Committee for the Sexuality and Gender Alliance of Actuaries (SAGAA).
