The Casualty Actuarial Society, in conjunction with the CAS Monograph Committee, is pleased to extend a call for monographs on the related topics of Capital Modeling and Portfolio Management. The purpose of this call is to develop a source of literature with emphasis on the educational and professional needs of actuaries to develop and utilize capital models.

Frank H. Chang, FCAS, began his term as the president of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) today in conjunction with the 2023 CAS Annual Meeting. He will serve as CAS President for 2023-2024.

It is not too late to share your voice through the 2023 CAS Quinquennial Survey. The deadline has been extended to November 17 for members to complete this important survey.

The objective of the scholarship is to further students' interest in the property/casualty actuarial profession and to encourage the pursuit of the Casualty Actuarial Society designations.

The CAS has released its schedule of 2024 examinations, which will be administered via computer-based testing at Pearson VUE Professional Centers.

The CAS Board of Directors adopted a set of commitments to enhance our governance system to align with best practices for professional membership organizations during a recent Board meeting. These Board commitments are based on advice from an independent consultant with adaptations made by the Board’s Governance Task Force (now the Governance Committee).
