Establishing a New Regional Affiliate or Special Interest Section

The Regional Affiliate Committee encourages the formation of new Regional Affiliates and Special Interest Sections. Any group desiring to form a Regional Affiliate or Special Interest Section should send a draft constitution and petition to Matt Caruso, CAS Membership and Volunteer Manager. The model constitution and petition are available to use as references.

The Regional Affiliate Committee will review the draft constitution and petition with the submitting group. The Regional Affiliate Committee will then provide comments and a recommendation to the CAS Executive Council, which will vote on the request. When approval is received from the Executive Council, the Regional Affiliate Committee will send a letter to the petitioning group notifying them that they have been accepted by the CAS as a new Regional Affiliate or Special Interest Section.
