The Admissions Department is on the lookout for passionate volunteers to serve as Pre-Testers for our upcoming Fall Exams — and we want YOU on the team!
Exams Seeking Pre-Testers:
- Exam MAS-I – Modern Actuarial Statistics I
- Exam MAS-II – Modern Actuarial Statistics II
- Exam 5 – Basic Ratemaking and Est. Claims Liabilities
- Exam 6C – Regulation and Financial Reporting (Canada)
- Exam 6I – Regulation and Financial Reporting (International)
- Exam 6U – Regulation and Financial Reporting (U.S.)
- Exam 7 – Advanced Estimation of Claims Liabilities
- Exam 8 – Advanced Ratemaking
What’s a Pre-Tester?
A Pre-Tester plays a crucial role in upholding the integrity of CAS exams. You’ll get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at exam content and provide valuable feedback before the exam goes live.
To qualify, you must:
- Be an FCAS
- Have passed the exam you're volunteering for within the last 5 years — score doesn’t matter!
- Feel confident in your understanding of the exam material
Time Commitment & Perks:
- 10–15 hours of flexible, asynchronous review
- One 1.5-day pass-mark panel (virtual or in-person)
- Panels held in late July
- Option to join us in-person at the CAS headquarters in Arlington, VA – travel is fully reimbursed
- All Pre-Testers receive a special thank-you gift, whether you attend in person or not!
