CAS Members: Complete the Job Task Analysis Survey

The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) is working with Assessment, Education, and Research Experts (AERE) to validate the necessary task and knowledge statements required for Associates and Fellows of the CAS through a Job Task Analysis (JTA). CAS members received an email on May 28, 2020 from CAS President Steve Armstrong inviting them to complete a survey for the JTA, which will ask members to describe tasks involved in their day-to-day actuarial work. In providing their responses, members have the opportunity to directly influence future updates to the CAS’s credentialing curriculum.

Members can respond to the survey by clicking on the link in the email and completing the survey no later than June 22, 2020 at 9:00 p.m. EDT. CAS estimates the survey should take about an hour to complete and members may save and return to complete the survey over multiple sessions. Responses will remain anonymous. Members who complete the survey will have the option to enter a raffle to win one of five $50 AmEx gift cards.

Questions about the survey can be directed to CAS staff actuary Wes Griffiths at wgriffiths@casact.org and include “2020 JTA” in the subject line.
