Miller Wins President-Elect; Ross to Become President
ARLINGTON, Va.Mary Frances Miller won her bid to become CAS president-elect for 2003 with 55 percent of the vote. Sholom Feldblum finished with 45 percent of the votes. The election was the second CAS competitive election in recent years. Miller will become president-elect at the close of the 2002 CAS Annual Meeting in Boston this month. Gail M. Ross will succeed Robert F. Conger as CAS president. Balloting for the 2002 CAS election closed on September 23, 2002, and CAS tellers verified the election results. Nearly half of CAS Fellows (49.1%) cast votes in the 2002 elections, a total of 1,158. This compares to 58.2 percent of the Fellows voting in the 2001 election and 39.7 percent of the Fellows voting in the 2000 election. | ||
