Mexico To Host ARC for the First Time; Conference Papers Sought
The Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) will host the 40th Actuarial Research Conference (ARC), marking the first time the conference will be held outside of the United States or Canada. The conference, sponsored by the CAS, SOA, and other actuarial organizations, will be held August 11-13, 2005 in Mexico City. ARC 2005 offers academics and practitioners the opportunity to meet and discuss actuarial problems and their solutions, as well as provide a forum for discussing general actuarial issues.
Those wishing to make a presentation at the conference can submit a copy of their paper title and abstract to the ARC Committee by June 17, 2005, by faxing 52-55-56284086 or e-mailing arc2005@itam.mx. Papers chosen for presentation will be published in a 2006 issue of Actuarial Research Clearing House.
ITAM houses the second largest actuarial science program in Mexico, where approximately 600 students study.
