"Building Bridges" Theme for 1999 Research Conference

Drake University and the Principal Financial Group will jointly host the 34th Actuarial Research Conference, August 8-11, 1999, in downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The conference traditionally has been the central meeting for North American academics and researchers interested in actuarial science. The theme of this year's conference is "Building Bridges Between Theory and Practice".

The conference is co-sponsored by the CAS, AERF, the Society of Actuaries, and the five other actuarial organizations in North America. July 15, 1999 is the deadline to register for $95. Paper titles and abstracts are due from authors by June 15, 1999. Each year the papers presented at the conference are published in the Actuarial Research Clearing House (ARCH).
