Pan American and Argentine Congresses of Actuaries Meet Together in 1997

Two international actuarial groups will meet together and host the Pan American Congress of Actuaries and Argentine Congress of Actuaries.

The meeting will take place in Buenos Aires from May 21 to 23, 1997. The two groups hosting the event are the Consejo Profesional de Ciencias Economicas de la Capital Federal, and the Institute Actuarial Argentino.

The scientific program for the meeting has been divided into four areas of interest:

• Insurance and ReInsurances
• Social Security Institutions
• Investment and Financing
• Professional Conduct

Actuaries world-wide are invited to submit papers to be presented at the meeting. Panelists and lecturers will communicate in English as well as a variety of languages, and the presentations will be simultaneously translated to other languages.
