Getting The Most Out Of The CAS Web Site
By Tiffany Luhring, CAS Web Site Developer

CAS does not equal SPAM
Are you receiving e-mail on a regular basis from the CAS? If the answer is no, your company's mail server may be treating legitimate CAS e-mails as "Spam," causing e-mails to be trapped in the Spam filter and go undelivered.

Please take a moment to ensure you are receiving CAS e-mails. From the CAS homepage (www.casact.org), click the first gold "Member Services" button. Under the "Notices to Members" section, click the next to last bullet in the list, "Archive of E-mail Sent to CAS Members." Compare this list with your in-box. Did you receive these messages? If you did not or are unsure, please contact your IT department to determine if CAS e-mails are being filtered as Spam. Please also send an e-mail to mboa@casact.org, so that we can monitor how widespread this problem is.

Planning for 2005
Trying to plan your travel and continuing education for 2005? The complete CAS Calendar of Events can be viewed online by clicking on the gold "Calendar" button from the homepage. Professional Education Opportunities for 2005 are also highlighted in the "Continuing Education" section. "Teaser" pages for many meetings are available and include such information as dates, locations, hotel rates, and more!

Enhancing the "Online Yearbook"
The Membership Directory has recently been enhanced with the addition of a downloadable "vCard." vCards are text files containing contact information that can be imported into e-mail programs such as Outlook and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs). These vCards are attached to the individual records in the Directory. Click on a vCard icon to download it.

The Missing Links
Speaking of enhancing the "Online Yearbook," you may note that some members' pictures are viewable in the Membership Directory. Member pictures are taken at the four major meetings each year: the Ratemaking Seminar, Spring Meeting, CLRS, and Annual Meeting. If you are attending one of these meetings, please be sure to stop by the registration desk and say "cheese!" You may also submit your picture via -mail to webmaster@casact.org.
