Hachemeister and Rodermund Awards Presented

Donald F. Mango Art Cadorine
Mary Frances Miller presented the 2004 Charles A. Hachemeister Award to Donald F. Mango (left) for his paper, "Capital Consumption: An Alternative Methodology for Pricing Reinsurance." Established in 1993, this prize recognizes the many contributions of Charles A. Hachemeister to Actuarial Studies in Non-Life Insurance (ASTIN) and Hachemeister's efforts to establish a closer relationship between the CAS and ASTIN. Mango's paper is published in the May 2004 issue of the ASTIN Bulletin.

CAS President Mary Frances Miller presented the 2004 Matthew S. Rodermund Service Award to Art Cadorine (right) at the 2004 CAS Annual Meeting in Montreal. Currently assistant vice president at ISO, Inc. in Jersey City, New Jersey, Cadorine has been actively involved in CAS volunteer activities since 1972. The Rodermund Award was established in 1990 in honor of Matt Rodermund's years of volunteer service to the Casualty Actuarial Society.
