CAS Fellows: Vote in the 2012 CAS Elections
The 2012 CAS election ballot is now available to be completed online.
To access the ballot, you will need to log in using the username and password that was sent via email from electionsonline.us. If you don't have the information from the email, submit your email address through the form on the log in page to have it emailed to you.
The election ballot has two sections: President-Elect and Board of Directors.
To access information about each candidate, click on the candidate’s name. Information provided for your reference when completing the ballot includes:
- Biographical information for each candidate.
- A statement on why the candidate wants to serve the CAS in the capacity of President-Elect or Director, and a statement identifying issues that are of special interest to the candidate and any positions the candidate may have on these issues.
- Candidates’ responses to questions posed by Fellows during the “Meet the Candidates” open forum.
- A breakdown of geographic and employment type information for continuing Board of Directors members with a comparison of this information versus the membership at-large.
As specified in the Casualty Actuarial Society Constitution, only Fellows may vote. As specified in the Casualty Actuarial Society Bylaws, any candidate for Director receiving a vote count of at least one-third of the number of ballots cast is elected, subject to a maximum of four successful candidates. If more than four candidates receive more votes than one-third of the ballots cast, the four with the highest vote count will be elected.
Please complete the ballot by clicking the check boxes to the left of the candidates for whom you wish to vote. You will have an opportunity to preview your ballot selections before your votes are officially recorded.
You may vote for the President-Elect and up to four Board candidates. If you attempt to submit the ballot with more than four votes for Board candidates, the ballot will not be accepted and you will be allowed to return to the ballot to correct your error. When you access the ballot, you will be presented with a random ballot to ensure that all candidates receive equal opportunity to be placed first, second, third, etc. on the ballot.
Please submit your ballot as soon as possible. The online ballot will not be accessible after 11:59 p.m. EDT on August 31, 2012.
If you have forgotten this information, you may use the “forgot your password?” link on the log in web page.
