CAS Ratemaking and Product Management Seminar to be held March 20-22 in New Orleans
03/11/2011 —ARLINGTON, VA, March 10 – Workshops and sessions that examine the use of predictive modeling techniques in ratemaking and product management across various lines of business will be featured at the CAS Ratemaking and Product Management Seminar, scheduled for March 20-22, 2011 at the New Orleans Marriott Hotel.
Neil Howe, best-selling author and recognized expert on generations, will deliver the seminar’s keynote address to an audience of more than 500 risk professionals. Howe will provide insights into who today’s generations are, what motivates them as consumers and workers, and how they will shape the future.
In addition, over 50 concurrent sessions will be offered addressing issues on topics such as:
- Regulation, including a discussion about federal versus state regulation of insurance
- Current issues in personal and commercial lines
- Workers compensation ratemaking trends
- Predictive modeling and related implementation issues
- Product management and related strategies
- Data management challenges
- Underwriting and ratemaking concerns
The seminar will also feature pre-program one-day workshops covering predictive modeling, basic ratemaking, and product development issues, and a research paper program showcasing new applied research in ratemaking. Complementing the educational program is an exhibit hall that will allow attendees to interact with exhibitors offering ratemaking, product management, and predictive modeling products and services.
