University of Connecticut to host 2011 Actuarial Research Conference
The 46th Actuarial Research Conference (ARC), scheduled for August 11-13, 2011, at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, provides an opportunity for academics and practitioners to meet and discuss current actuarial problems and their solutions. This year’s theme is “Connecting Theory and Practice.” Practicing actuaries are urged to join academics for discussions and networking.
- As attendees, practitioners can learn first-hand what their profession’s academic researchers are thinking about.
- As presenters, they perhaps can return the favor by showing academics what practitioners would prefer researchers to be thinking about.
A call for papers has been issued, with abstracts due by June 30, 2011. Visit the ARC Web Site for the call for papers, online registration, online reservations for accommodations, and more. Contact Jim Bridgeman at email@example.com for additional details.
