Please let the studygroup discussions center on the exam. Please do not
clutter this forum with topics that don't involve the direct discussion
of Part 7 topics. Ancillary topics should be discussed in the Discussion
Forum.
This is an especially important issue to people who have small e-mail
boxes. Too many off-topic posts will prevent them from receiving more
pertinent material.

So you are willing to learn from the questions of others as posed in
this forum, but not willing to assist others learn? Whether you
participate in what Gwendolyn is organizing is besides the point. The
only purpose for monitoring and contributing to this listserve is to
learn from or assist each other. The ACAS/FCAS/(your raise for passing)
just aren't worth taking a me-only attitude towards life. Perhaps I am
naive, but being in this position of taking exams after being a college
teacher for years makes me quite sensistive to this issue. Or maybe I
just don't want the designations badly enough

I do respect your honest in admitting your position, however.

I am doing this for all of the papers right now.

I am hesitant to share with other people though. I need for 2/3 of you
to
do worse than me on the exam. Helping out fellow exam takers lowers my
chances of passing. This may sound terrible, but this is the attitude
that
the CAS indirectly promotes with the exam process.

The only reason that I subscribe to this study group is to keep tabs on
other students. :-)
