One solution I created to this problem was to borrow the
Proceedings/Standards of Practice/etc: whatever was available from
others in our office. Check with other fellows, students to see what
you can borrow. Chances are you can borrow 1/3 to 1/2 of the material
while you wait. Note also there are very few changes from the previous
edition (2nd) of Foundations

Yes, waiting is a pain, but the CAS did state up front on the order
form that it would take about 4 weeks to arrive. Overall, I have found
the CAS to be extremely helpful in dealing with every question/problem
I have had.

I have responded to three people that I am in the same position i.e.
taking Part 6 early in my career. Thought I should post this on the
study group site then responding to each person.

I will be attending the NEAS seminar in Chicago. BTW, I have not
received my Part 6 study kit. I used some of the readings from another
actuarial student from Spring 95. Obviously, some readings have been
replaced. As for the ASOP, I downloaded them from the website. I have
not even received the Foundations of Casualty Actuarial Society text!

I called the CAS re: the study kit and was informed that due to a change
in vendor, there is a back log on sending the materials to us students
who need to study early enough to pass the exam. Is anyone as irated as
I am?
