E-mail study groups were established in January 1998 to provide
candidates a means of communicating with others preparing for CAS
exams. Based on feedback from users over the past year and half, the
Committee on Online Services has made a change in the administration of
the lists. Previously, candidates who wanted to be removed from an
e-mail list following an exam sitting needed to manually unsubscribe
from the list. This process is no longer necessary. Now that the 1999
Spring Exam sitting is complete, all e-mail list subscribers will
automatically be removed from their subscribed list.
Beginning on June 1, 1999, those who wish to resubscribe or subscribe to
a new list may do so online at:
http://www.casact.org/admissions/studygroups.htm. Those without Web
access can subscribe by sending an e-mail to caslists@lists.casact.org.
In the body of the message, type join studygroup3b, join studygroup4a,
or join studygroup5a, etc., as appropriate. Note that the list for Exam
10 will be taken permanently off-line and lists for Exam 6 and 8 will be
temporarily off-line.
