I'm not an expert, but I have been reading the 4B discussion here, on the CAS
website (before it went to the great website in the sky) and on the SOA website,
and my understanding is that 30.5 for last time is roughly correct. However,
most of the people who have commented on the relative difficulty of the last
exam and this exam have said that this sitting was slightly easier. Any
projection of what the pass mark might actually be is guesswork. I personally
scored better on this test than I did in practicing the Fall '98 test (I'm a
first timer for 4B).
